We Are Preparing WMD* for 2026

We have gone through several cycles of design. We’ve built a few pilots along the way. • Technologically through a secure, decentralized, and federated architecture.
• Algorithmically -you will have control over your content and priority. Friends first? Climate news first? Most recent news first? Most commented first? It’s up to you. No more secret algorithm filtering out or obscuring important voices and speech.
• Functionally, because you own and control your own likes, shares, connections, conversations, and photographs, we do not sell or share your information, and that is part of our mission and charter. The platform is the product, not you.
• Trusted news sources with ratings for trust and bias.
• A new, invite-only area for meaningful, virtual, “Kitchen Table Democracy” facilitated conversations about important issues, followed up by action plans and actions to codify agreements into law and policy.
