U.S. Constitutional Requirements for the Presidency
The Constitution lists three basic qualifications for the Presidency:
- 1. Must be 35 Years Old.
- 2. Must be a natural born citizen.
- 3. Must have lived in the United States for at least 14 years.

The 14th Amendment of the Constitution adds this disqualification: "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."
When you read the Section 3 of the 14th Amendment it is remarkable that any US State or Federal Judge or Court could find that the Orange Menace is eligible to be on a ballot for any elected office.
Nevertheless, this issue will go before Supremely Corrupted Court of the United States -and unless he recuses himself -the matter will be ruled upon by the luxury-gift-loving, husband of an insurrection-funding-lobbyist, ‘Justice’ Thomas, and a whole group of ethics-bending and/or extremist ‘justices’.
So while today is a good day for justice and democracy, while I remain hopeful, I am not celebrating just yet.
