Putin versus Biden

As the anti-climate Koch network withdraws their support of Nikki Haley, there is now only one viable candidate for the Republican ticket, Vladimir Putin. While he is precluded from formally declaring his candidacy due to trivial U.S. Constitutional constraints, Donald J. Trump is running as his proxy.

Prior to his first term as President, after his annexation of Crimea and interference in the U.S. elections, Putin directed his then NSA Chief, Michael Flynn to halt the economic sanctions placed upon Russia by the Obama Administration. Thankfully, Flynn is still collecting his full U.S. military pension.

In 2022, Putin’s Republican Party took control of the U.S. House of Representatives, where current House speaker Mike Johnson is blocking military aid to former U.S. ally Ukraine.

This has led to new Russian battlefield gains as Putin’s invasion of Ukraine continues beyond its two-year anniversary. While there has been some unfortunate publicity for Rep. Johnson and the Putin/Trump/MAGA-controlled party such as:

• "The road to Avdiivka is covered with our corpses." -Ukraine soldier
• "Our soldiers and civilians are dying as there is no munition left to protect them." -Ukraine official

Nevertheless, it shouldn’t be long before Rep. Johnson and others are awarded “Hero of the Russian Federation” by Putin himself.

Furthermore, while some Americans have tired of the Russian-funded NRA, as the uncontrolled epidemic of gun violence plays out on U.S. streets, Putin and Republicans are now making excellent use of “Christian” nationalism to divide American voters. While Putin/Trump/MAGA cannot hide their deep hypocrisy (at least not to reasonably educated and informed U.S. voters), it is obscure to far too many of the willfully ignorant, or those so blinded by religious fanaticism that the result is consistent with the willfully ignorant.

For example, the lie is Republicans are “pro-life”.

When the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Putin puppet Trump claimed credit. "For 54 years they were trying to get Roe v. Wade terminated, and I did it and I'm proud to have done it." -Donald J. Trump.

"Unborn children are children. Human life cannot be wrongfully destroyed without incurring the wrath of a holy God, even before birth, all human beings have the image of God, and their lives cannot be destroyed without effacing his glory.” -Alabama State Supreme Court

And then the “pro-life” reality.

“Two courts have now rejected Smith’s claims. I remain confident that the Supreme Court will come down on the side of justice, and that Smith’s execution will be carried out tomorrow.”

Alabama inmate Kenneth Eugene Smith was executed on January 25, 2024 by nitrogen hypoxia after the US Supreme Court, in a 6-3 decision, declined to intervene in the state’s second attempt to execute an inmate who had previously survived a botched lethal injection. The court’s three liberal justices expressed their willingness to hear Smith’s claims of cruel and unusual punishment.

The lie: "Federal COVID-era cash benefit programs are not sustainable and don't provide long-term solutions for the issues impacting children and families. An EBT card does nothing to promote nutrition at a time when childhood obesity has become an epidemic," Iowa Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds

(Translation: Poor kids are already too fat and will just buy potato chips and donuts.)

The reality: "It's extremely disappointing that the Reynolds administration is planning to reject federal money that could put food on the table for hungry Iowa kids. This cruel and short-sighted decision will have real impacts on children and families in my district and communities all across Iowa." -Iowa State Senator Izaah Knox

The deep hypocrisy is a trademark of Putin. His favored U.S. Media outlet, Fox “News” even provided this hilarious treatment of those Putin has murdered called "The Kremlin’s Greatest Hits”. If it was not for the horrific deaths and suffering he caused, it might even be funnier.

The candidates for the highest office in the United States are decided and the race is on. An added benefit, if Putin is elected (through Trump, his proxy) is, consistent with Russia, election results beyond 2024 will be published prior to the actual election. No more sleepless nights in the Eastern time zone waiting for polls to close in Hawaii. No more need to try to stop ballot counting in Florida when the election is close and mail-in ballots are not yet counted. No more election officials in Georgia being told to find 11,780 votes. Simply try to avoid bodies ‘falling’ from tall buildings.
