The media loves the show -it's money baby!

A corrupt, hateful, incompetent, authoritarian-embracing and now convicted felon surrounded by extreme wealth, religious extremists, racists, and misogynists running against a decent incumbent President with a highly-qualified and experienced Cabinet and team is ZZZZZZZZ so damn boring.

There is so much money to be made in turning this into a bitter and close race, a Super Bowl tied, going into the fourth quarter, the seventh game of the World Series going into extra innings, the Kentucky Derby in a photo-finish, the media (more precisely their owners and executives) has turned what should have been no contest into precisely what they wanted. They can worry about whether they have managed to destroy the country afterward because they’ve accumulated massive wealth and the rest of us be damned.

Elections have serious consequences for all. It is not a game. It is not simply about stopping Trump, stopping Project 2025, and it’s Agenda 47 summary.

This is not President Biden versus the Prison Apprentice. This is about democracy, equality, and justice. This is about the American future.
This is about a world moving (and sadly, not always in a straight line) toward peace, security, stability, and climate action instead of perpetual conflict, oppression, inequality, and disaster.

There are domestic issues on the line. These issues affect all of us -regardless of how we vote, or if we do not vote.

• Alleviating the backbreaking burden of student loan debt versus affordable, public higher education.
• Affordable housing for all versus more massive wealth for private equity funds.
• Economic policies addressing wealth inequality, greed-driven inflation (anti-trust law and policies), and fair taxation -instead of the anti-democracy fraud of trickle-down Reagan/Trump economics which only leads to more national debt and the extreme concentration of wealth.
• A systemic approach to a high-quality, affordable healthcare system for all.
• Conservation of beautiful oceans, parks, and nature.
• Strengthening Social Security and Medicare
• This is about a U.S. Constitution and more Amendments than just the Second.
• This election is about the quality and dignity of the lives of all of us (not just the 1%).
• This is about the future (and having one).

This election is our path forward.

• Climate -open public lands, national parks, coastlines, mountaintops for the extraction industry -Big Oil and Coal. This is called “Energy independence”. The reality is that this is nothing more than more money for Big Oil and Coal, and a F*cked planet for the rest of us.

• Education -Betsy DeVos, the Wal*Mart Heirs and others want to destroy K-12 public education in the United States. This is not hyperbole. They want to privatize the education system. The plan is to erode public funding through “school choice” and vouchers -and they hope that American families are already too ignorant to determine what happens to the public school system in the United States. • Equality -Eliminate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs. Eliminate women’s body autonomy.

• Immigration- Establishing mass deportation of undocumented people residing in the United States. By taking this bold step all the high-paying executive positions in corporate offices from Manhattan to Miami, from Houston, to Chicago, from Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle to Minneapolis/St. Paul will be open for your job application and resume -and we’ll all be making $500,000 a year! Bye Dreamers!

• World Policy- Somehow, Putin’s work to subvert our elections (as well as European elections, and Brexit, his illegal invasion of Ukraine, and his hateful rhetoric for the rest of the world) is cool, China, however, is not. Project 2025 and Trump/MAGA call China the biggest threat to the world and seek to ramp up tensions. So if the Biden/Harris Administration does not succeed (or a Harris/Jon Stewart Administration, or a Harris/Katie Porter Administration, or a Harris/Warren, or Harris/Booker, or Harris/Buttigieg), look for Trump/Vance to turn our backs on Ukraine and allow Putin to do whatever he wants (however, if that happens there will be a Trump Tower Moscow -so save up your Trump Resorts’ Frequent Guest points!) Also, bye NATO!

• Wealth Concentration -slashing taxes for corporations and the wealthiest Americans, eliminating funding for the IRS (so the wealthy can pay $750 in taxes like their man Trump!), and allowing industry to plunder, poison, and pollute without having to worry about Federal agency regulations and enforcement will shift more wealth to the top, and more national debt burden to you, me, our children, and grandchildren. And when we are buried in debt, we are much easier to manipulate and control, aren’t we?

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Justice -Trump has referred to those who participating in the violent January 6, 2021 insurrection as political hostages (he doesn’t say much about the police officers who were attacked and injured or died defending the Capitol and Congress). He will pardon them. And for the ‘justice’ MAGA bonus round we’ll have more incompetent extremist judges like Kacsmaryk, Cannon, Kavanaugh, Coney-Barrett, and Alito, and the blatantly corrupt like Thomas.

  

  

  

  

  

  

Europeans in the 1930's didn't know they were on the road to a devastating war that would eventually involve the Soviet Union, the United States, and Japan. It led to death, suffering, and sacrifice for generations.

We are on the same path, and Ukraine is the the battleground. If Ukraine falls, Putin will simply threaten and invade surrounding European countries -just as Hitler did.

While the extremist movement has been growing in the United States, it's not too late to stop it now, once and for all at the ballot box. We can do this by making sure you are still registered to vote, make a plan to vote, and vote. Help and encourage others. Because filling out your ballots now just might mean our children and/or grandchildren are not decimated in World War III.

However, our unwavering focus must be on this election -the President, Senate, the House, State and Local candidates. And regardless of political party -anyone you support with your money and your vote must fundamentally be committed to justice, democracy, and equality.

By working together to elect serious candidates who care more about our future, and less about the "R" or "D" next to their name -we can begin to address all of the issues that have led us to the precipice of disaster. The future is calling upon all of us.
